Our Engineering team is scaling up, and we’re looking to hire a Senior DevOps Manager. Our DevOps team takes the lead in building and supporting the cloud-native infrastructure on which the rest of our Engineering team runs: from building pipelines in GitHub Actions, to Infrastructure-as-Code through Terraform on AWS, to monitoring and alerting in Datadog.
We’re looking for a team manager who blends strong experience navigating stakeholders and prioritization decisions with practical experience in an AWS stack–and a willingness to mentor. Our team members all bring different experiences and expertise to the table; if they didn’t, we’d be boring – and fragile.
About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.
60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low and paperwork is unduly burdensome. With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.
You will:
- Manage a team of four DevOps engineers—hold them accountable while helping them grow.
- Work with our experienced DevOps engineers to recommend technologies and design systems that will support the growth of the company.
- Gather inputs from our Software Engineering, IT, and Security team to build a technical roadmap and make prioritization decisions.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers in growing their skills.
- Help build and maintain our incident response and remediation playbooks.
- Empower members of other engineering teams to follow cloud and DevOps best practices when building software.
You have:
- 7+ years of experience in Engineering and DevOps
- Proven experience as a DevOps Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong experience in AWS and Kubernetes stacks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Demonstrated excellent prioritization and project management skills.
- A love of mentorship and coaching, helping other engineers flourish in their careers
- A solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort with change – we’re a startup, and our processes evolve to meet the size and stage of our teams and technology
