Android Engineer
Pelago Health
About the Role
As an Android Engineer, you’ll play a key role in evolving Pelago’s member experience through our mobile app — the primary touchpoint for members engaging with their care journey. You’ll maintain and enhance our Android codebase while helping to pioneer our transition to a cross-platform architecture built on Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Compose Multiplatform (CMP).
You’ll collaborate closely with Android, iOS, and shared platform engineers, as well as product managers and designers, to deliver features that are performant, reliable, and delightful. This is a hands-on development role that balances technical execution with creative problem-solving — ensuring Pelago’s mobile app remains world-class as it scales to reach more members globally.
This role is based in our London office, with in-person collaboration two days per week (flexible for candidates living outside a 1-hour commute; priority given to London-based hires).

- Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines (using Bitrise) for fast, reliable releases.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies, contributing to an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture.
- Help define and document architectural patterns to support Pelago’s cross-platform evolution.
