Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in perinatal and peri/menopausal mental health care? Here's your chance to be a vital part of FamilyWell's mission to enhance access to high-quality, equitable, and affordable mental health services for pregnant and postpartum individuals across the U.S.

Background:

FamilyWell is the first behavioral health start-up to implement a perinatal and peri/menopausal collaborative care model that embeds a wrap-around mental health program directly into OB/GYN practices for pregnant/postpartum and peri/menopausal individuals. Our mission is to solve the maternal mental health crisis by increasing access to equitable, affordable, and accessible mental health care. Our specialized care team consists of social workers, coaches, therapists, and psychiatric providers in the OB provider’s clinical workflow (both in-person and virtually), ultimately becoming the behavioral health arm of the OB/GYN practice.

Role:

We are looking for a Supervising Psychiatrist with specialized experience in peri/menopausal psychiatry to supervise up to four APRNs in Illinois.

*Virtual Only* Duties and Responsibilities:

Ongoing Supervision:

  • Supervision responsibilities include conducting one hour a month group supervision.
  • Reasonable review of documentation in EHR.

Availability for Consultation for Urgent/Emergent Situations:

  • Be available by phone to answer clinical questions during working hours, with a response time within 4 hours. If unable to respond, advise sending patients to the emergency room as necessary.

Referral Management:

  • Provide guidance on referring patients for higher levels of care, when cases exceed the scope of APRN practice or require more specialized attention.

Time Commitment:

  • Expected time commitment averaging 1-2 hours per week, including chart reviews, scheduled clinical supervision, and availability for ad hoc consultation.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Psychiatrist (MD or DO) in the state of Illinois
  • Experience or interest in peri/menopausal mental health and collaborative care
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
  • Comfortable remotely supervising one or more APRNs, with delegated prescriptive authority.
  • Prior experience supervising APRNs preferred.
  • Availability to respond to urgent clinical concerns within 4 hours by phone.
  • Comfortable providing guidance to APRNs on managing emergency psychiatric situations.

All duties are virtual and there is no in-person requirement.

Compensation:

The Supervising Psychiatrist will receive a stipend of $500/month per APRN supervised
