Under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood Services, the Clinical Diagnostician: Autism Evaluator will conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop diagnostic reports (including service needs and recommendations), and provide diagnostic feedback to individuals and/or their caregivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct autism spectrum diagnostic evaluations (ADOS 2, ASRS, CARS), analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports.
- Provide feedback to clients after evaluations.
- Communicate with team members during the evaluation process as needed
- Provide written requests for outside services (such as applied behavior analysis and or MA) as needed.
- Communicate the findings of the evaluation to all team members.
- Participate in weekly department and team meetings, communicating any client needs with the treatment team as well as providing feedback and/or consultation to any treatment member as needed.
- Complete documentation for evaluations within 24 hours of services.
- Manage your schedule, including scheduling assessments and feedback appointments, maintaining report writing time, and rescheduling any cancellations or make-up appointments.
- Report weekly productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold at least a Master’s degree as CRNP
- Trained and certified to administer the ADOS 2 assessment
- At least 1 year of experience providing ASD evaluations
- Hold a valid license to practice in your state of employment, which includes maintaining all necessary continuing education requirements
- Meet dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean
- Report to work on time and as scheduled
- Complete work within designated time.
- Attend all necessary staff meetings
- Ensures confidentiality of patients records
- Consistently reliable internet access for any telehealth provisions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:
- Early Childhood Development: The diagnostician will have ample knowledge of both typical and atypical development in early childhood.
- Evidence-Based Practices: The diagnostician will be able to utilize and implement evidence-based practices related to the field of assessment and diagnosis.
- Empathy: As a diagnostician, you need to display empathy, or the ability to look at the client/family’s situation from their perspective to understand their experience.
- Trustworthiness: The client needs to trust that the diagnostician will maintain confidentiality, respect their experiences, and withhold judgment. By building a sense of trust, the diagnostician helps the client feel at ease as they share personal and difficult feelings and information.
- Active listening and responsiveness: As a diagnostician, a vital part of your job is to help clients feel heard, respected, and validated. One way to do this is through active listening, which may include eye contact, nodding, facial expressions, and body language.
- Flexibility: As a diagnostician, it is essential that you be flexible in your thoughts and actions in order to meet the individualized needs of each client/family.
- Time Management: The ability to organize your time intelligently – so that you use it more effectively. Effective time management skills increase focus and productivity.
- Organization: Organizational skills are skills that allow you to use your resources efficiently and effectively. Being organized means you manage your time, energy, and workspace well and can accomplish all your assigned tasks successfully.
- Documentation: The ability to formulate, create, and maintain clinical documentation, such as diagnostic reports and notes for each encounter using an electronic medical record.
- Professionalism: The ability to maintain a sense of competence and behavior in accordance with professional ethics and licensure requirements.
*The target range for this position is $125,000.00 - $140,000. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors, including licensure, experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
