ANNA AUTISM CARE
Director of Finance
Philippines (Remote, US Eastern Hours) | Full-Time | Finance
About ANNA
ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is a US-based, mission-driven startup transforming autism care for young children and their families. We provide center-based ABA services using a neurodiversity-affirming, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) approach — and we're growing fast. We're building the team and infrastructure to scale without losing what makes ANNA special: rigorous clinical training, compassionate family-centered practice, and a genuine commitment to the children and families we serve.
Position Overview
The Director of Finance owns ANNA's finance function end-to-end — from day-to-day accounting and month-end close to financial reporting, FP&A, and strategic financial analysis. This is a highly executional role: you'll be the person doing the work. You'll operate across our core finance tools — Ramp (AP and expense management), Rippling (payroll), and QuickBooks — and will serve as the primary financial partner to ANNA's leadership team, including working directly with the CEO on strategic finance matters.
This is a full-time remote role based in the Philippines, working US Eastern business hours. Strong written and spoken English proficiency is required.
Success in this role will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, clean month-end closes, well-managed AP and payroll processes, and the quality of financial insight you deliver to leadership.
Base Salary: $32,000 – $42,000 USD / ~₱1.94 million - ~₱2.5 million PHP annually (based on experience and skills)
Schedule: Full-time; Monday–Friday, US Eastern hours
What You'll Do
Accounting & Controller Work
• Own the month-end close process in QuickBooks: journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation on a monthly basis
• Manage accounts payable via Ramp, including vendor setup, invoice review, expense categorization, and payment approvals
• Manage payroll processing via Rippling, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs, deductions, and compliance across applicable jurisdictions
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany balances monthly
• Partner with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team on payment reconciliation, ensuring insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments are accurately recorded and reconciled against billing system data
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, consistent chart of accounts categorization across all transactions
• Coordinate with external accountants on annual tax filings and compliance requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate 1099 and other vendor tax documentation
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Own the annual budgeting process in partnership with operational leadership and the CEO, building bottoms-up plans by cost center and market
• Maintain rolling monthly forecasts, updating assumptions based on actuals and operational trends
• Produce a monthly management reporting package — P&L by center, market rollup, and variance commentary — within 5 business days of month close
• Build and maintain financial models for new center openings, including ramp assumptions, staffing costs, and breakeven timelines
• Track and analyze key operational metrics — BT utilization, BCBA productivity, billing performance, AR aging — in financial context for leadership
Strategic Financial Analysis
• Support the CEO on board materials, investor reporting, and periodic strategic planning cycles
• Design and model employee compensation and bonus programs, including analyzing cost impact, structure tradeoffs, and payout scenarios
• Provide financial modeling and diligence support for occasional M&A or partnership opportunities as they arise
• Build scenario models to support major organizational decisions — market expansion, payer contract changes, significant hiring investments, and new service lines
Systems & Process
• Own ANNA's finance tech stack day-to-day: QuickBooks, Ramp, and Rippling
• Document financial processes and maintain organized, audit-ready records
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting, reconciliation, and close workflows as the organization scales
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of both accounting and FP&A responsibilities
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
• Experience managing AP and payroll processes; familiarity with Ramp and/or Rippling a strong plus
• QuickBooks proficiency required
• Advanced Excel skills; comfortable building financial models from scratch
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work full-time during US Eastern business hours (9 AM – 5 PM ET)
Preferred
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site service businesses
• Familiarity with US healthcare billing and RCM concepts (AR, denial rates, payer mix, payment posting)
• Experience owning a full finance function independently
• CPA or equivalent designation is a plus but not required
• Experience supporting M&A diligence, investor reporting, or compensation program design
If you don't meet every preferred qualification, we still encourage you to apply.
Ideal Candidate
You are a rigorous, detail-oriented finance professional who takes genuine pride in getting the numbers right. You're equally comfortable in a spreadsheet at month-end close and in a conversation with leadership about what the numbers mean. You don't need a team or a playbook — you're the kind of person who builds the playbook. You are reliable, organized, and proactive, and you understand that in a small, fast-growing startup, the finance function is only as strong as the person running it. You're energized by variety, ownership, and the opportunity to grow with an organization that's doing meaningful work.
Why ANNA?
At ANNA, we are working to transform autism care by combining rigorous clinical training, compassionate family-centered practice, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. As our Director of Finance, you'll play a foundational role in ensuring the organization has the financial clarity and infrastructure to scale — enabling us to reach more children and families across Massachusetts and beyond.
