About ANNA

ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is redefining what autism care looks like for young children and their families. Based in the greater Boston area, we deliver naturalistic, neuroaffirming services grounded in clinical excellence and deep respect for every child and family we serve. We’re a mission-driven, high-growth organization built on the belief that exceptional care and genuine partnership with families can change the trajectory of a child’s life. We’re building an exceptional mission-driven team to achieve this mission. If you’re energized by mission, driven by excellence, and ready to do the most meaningful work of your career, ANNA is where you belong.

As we scale, we are building a Community Outreach & Engagement function to increase access for families, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure ANNA is a trusted presence within the autism and early childhood community.

The Community Engagement Specialist supports families and strengthens ANNA’s regional presence across Massachusetts. This role combines community outreach and family engagement, serving as a key connector between families, referral partners, and ANNA’s clinical teams.

Assigned to a defined geographic region, the Community Engagement Specialist manages a referral-to-intake pipeline while building meaningful, long-term partnerships with community organizations. Success in this role is measured by growth in qualified referrals, strong referral-to-intake conversion, timely follow-up, and positive experiences for families and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners such as Early Intervention programs, pediatricians, neuropsychologists, childcares, and community organizations.

  • Execute regional outreach activities including visits, presentations, and follow-up communication.

  • Identify new partnership opportunities aligned with ANNA’s mission and growth strategy.

  • Represent ANNA at community events, conferences, and resource fairs.

  • Track outreach activity and partner relationships in Salesforce.

Family Engagement & Intake Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families during the intake process.

  • Provide clear, empathetic guidance to families navigating services.

  • Manage the regional referral-to-intake pipeline to ensure timely outreach and follow-up.

  • Coordinate documentation and smooth handoffs to clinical teams.

  • Identify common barriers and share insights with leadership.

Events, Communication & Reporting

  • Support planning and execution of regionally focused community events.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on outreach communications and materials.

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and provide regular updates on referral trends and progress.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort supporting families through complex or emotionally sensitive situations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, taking initiative and ownership of responsibilities while staying aligned with team goals.

  • Proven ability to manage priorities independently, structure work proactively, and follow through consistently in a fast‑moving environment.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail and accountability for outcomes.

  • Comfort represents the organization externally and building trust with a wide range of community partners.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in autism services, early childhood, disability services, or community-based roles.

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, outreach, intake coordination, or high‑touch relationship management.

  • Experience taking ownership of a pipeline, territory, or portfolio of relationships.

  • Familiarity with neurodiversity‑affirming approaches, inclusive language, and family‑centered care.

  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM or referral‑tracking systems.

  • Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred).

  • Lived experience as an autistic person, caregiver, or family member strongly valued.

If you don’t meet every preferred qualification, we encourage you to apply.

  • Bonus: Up to 12% of base salary tied to monthly performance metrics

  • Equity: 500-share option with four-year vesting

  • Benefits include:
